Welcome!
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

So what's this all about, anyway?
I pray that you will be blessed by your visit here. You may be wondering: what, exactly, IS The Catholic Wife all about? A lifelong Christian of various denominations, I began questioning the tenets of the Protestant faith many years ago. By the grace of God, I finally followed my heart and converted to the Roman Catholic Church. Ever since I began my conversion, I have voraciously read everything I could find regarding the Church and life as a Catholic. When I did an internet search for resources on being a godly woman, I was linked to many sites. It was only once I was there that I realized that these resources were positively not in line with the precepts of the Holy Mother Church. Many of them were vehemently anti-Catholic and ended up just making me mad. While I eventually did find a few resources maintained by and for Catholic women, they were far outnumbered by non-Catholic sites. And so The Catholic Wife was born….
This site is in its infancy as it was just started in January of 2008. But I hope, God willing, that this site will grow to include many articles, tips, recipes, household hints, that will be interesting and informative to Christian women. And while “The Catholic Wife” is the title of this site, I hope that all Catholic Christian women, either married or single, widowed or divorced, old or young, working mother or stay-at-home mom, will find something on this site that will inspire or edify them. And although my focus is to reach out to other Roman Catholic women, I do hope that if you are a non-Catholic and visiting, you will learn more about our faith and our call to be faithful Christian women.
Please click on the various topics along the top to access all that the site currently offers. Also, please be patient and check back often as this site will continue to expand. Thank you for visiting!
An Absolute TREASURE!
I'll be the first to admit that I adore EWTN. I find the television station, radio channel, and website to be a true blessing. And Mother Angelica holds a very dear, very special place in my heart. Surfing the EWTN website tonight to get an update on Mother, I stumbled across their Library section. I am in AWE of the thousands of articles that are available. I'm in the Family Life section right now and have found many articles that I know will be invaluable to me! Be sure to check out EWTN's Library!

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song
I have found amazing peace and blessings through praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. While this can be prayed in several ways, I have benefited most from the version where it is sung. I first heard this on EWTN on Sirius and was moved by it. Thanks to a posting on the Catholic.com forums, I have found a link to it online where you can listen and pray along. I am providing the link and I hope that you will be blessed by it!

I Can Only Imagine
I hang out on the forums at Catholic.com quite frequently and discovered a great video tonight. As a Protestant, I loved the song, "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe. The video's creator, Jeff Lloyd, reminds us as Catholics that we don't have to imagine seeing Christ...we see Him in the Eucharist! It's a powerful video and a wonderful reminder of the truth of the Eucharist! Check it out below!
