My name is Rachel Hayden. I am a full-time wife, working professional, gradute student, and home-based business owner. I am married to a wonderful, beautiful man whose love for me is so evident that it brings tears to my eyes. We are an interracial couple (Caucasian/African-American), which adds a unique dynamic and perspective to our marriage. I am a convert to the Catholic faith from Protestantism (specifically an upbringing with Baptist and Methodist influences) and my husband is a cradle Catholic. In my spare time, I work as a country folk artist that specializes in handmade dolls, quilts, and other handsewn crafts and I run that home-based business on the side. A professional writer I am not - writing is merely a passion. I do not claim to be a religious expert and I do not speak for the Roman Catholic Church. However, I do love Jesus Christ and His Church and strive to live my life with a Catholic world view every day. I have a passion for log cabins, country living, heritage crafts, and doing things the way my ancestors would have done. I love all things rustic and rural and strive for simplicity in everything I do!
